Lassi? I know I like to pick dog hair out of my mouth for hours but i never knew I could get it in water and 1pound 95, i don’t know how that stacks against the Good ol’ USA Dollar, but It sound fairly reasonable.
only 2 things come to mind when i read “floaters”… and neither one is coffee beans. Example: Lassie squatted a bit too far over the deep well to drop some floaters… then with a slip, a pitiful whine and a great splash she became a floater herself.
Floater coffee is another term for an Irish coffee, which consists of coffee, whiskey, and cream. It’s called floater because the way it’s prepared has the cream “floating” on top of the beverage.
It doesn’t have to be Irish coffee to be a floater coffee.
Usually you can have them with any kind of booze, not just whiskey.
Hence the collective term ‘floater coffee’ so they don’t have to put the ones with vodka, brandy, rum, tequila, etc on the menu separately.
And lassi is an excellent drink to go with very hot (spicy) food as it is practically the only drink that relieves the burning even after you swallowed it, unlike beer or water.
Goat cheese is the start. I placed goat cheese in a bowl and mashed it together with dates, lemon zest, lemon juice, and chili flakes. Mashing requires just a bowl, a fork, and a good amount of pressure. Totally technical. I know.

What I wonder is, what *exactly* is in “floater coffee”? Dare I ask if the floater came from Lassi?
Yep, I’ve been reading this stuff too much…. Sorry.
Lassi is actually a drink from India — See Link Below

….. because Timmi fell in the well and they can’t drink the water.
Nice!
Yeah, coffee gives me floaters, too. That’s why I stay away from it.
OK, whatever floats your beverage.

Thanks. I thought it meant it had extra caffeine or something. Sort of a ‘Jolt’ coffee.
That sure is funny. I even lived in Ireland and never heard the term “floater coffee”.
Never been to Ireland, but have seen this term in Cumbria pubs. To me “Irish Coffee” is the American name for this drink.

Floater is an Irish coffee, the cream floats on the whiskey.
You guys need to get around more and appreciate other non-US cultures!
Or waste five bucks on crap at Starbucks.
I’m surprised nobody’s mentioned Willy Wonka.
