  5. KinkyTom says:

The software program designed specifically for dumb blonds :P

  6. Karyudo says:

This is actually funny, clever, and on purpose. In Japanese, “binbo” means “poor,” and this is a second-hand computer shop. So the whole name is a nice little pun.

    • Chimie says:

Yea, I thought it was quite clever myself. Though I do giggle every time I hear the word, as it’s pronounced more like Bimbo…

    • Zocktoast says:

Ah, I got the pun, but was wondering why they’d used it in the first place. Kinda like the place I work has an outlet for used comps called “Reboot”, except… well, nowhere near as funny, or copyright-infringing.

  7. Michael says:

HEhehe i own microsoft in japan…my name is really michael

  9. お茶人形 says:

Nah, it’s a strip club. It’s supposed to say Michael’s Soft Bimbos.

Comes with: Ward, Exfail, Outbook, Acrobat Leader and Powned Point

  13. Michael says:

Makes me proud of my first name

  14. Rose says:

Actually, I think it’s an intentional pun.

It’s a store for used (discount) computers and parts.
    “Binbo” in Japanese means “poor.”
So, “Binbows” is the poor mans “Windows.”

  15. Didn't read the thread either. says:

Actually it is deliberate, “binbo” is Japanese for poor. The shop sells second hand computers and kit. It’s a pun.

  16. Kausill says:

OLD. Seen this before on Engrish Funny.

  17. Ringman says:

Bill Gates will be ruined !!

  18. william says:

i can read some of the hirigana
“pasoconu and patsu (computer and parts) shop”
the bottom line is maikulusofutu (michalsoft)
a more correct version would be maikurosofutu

  19. K says:

This one already appeared, so it’s more of a FAIL than anything else.

As to the Michaelsoft pun, perhaps writing Microsoft in katakana would make things easier to understand:

    マイクロソフト (Microsoft, or ma-i-ku-ro-so-fu-to)

    マイケルソフト (Michaelsoft, or ma-i-ke-ru-so-fu-to)

The person who named the shop swopped the “ku” for a “ke”, and the “ro” for a “ru”.

  20. Coaxill says:

At least they don’t crash as often as windows.

  21. Krs says:

This is actually a spoof. The owner of this shop is just trying to be funny.

Saying that though it is pretty great

  22. JimEKraKKorn says:

Michaelsoft BinBows… is it the Slut Edition? or Home Orifice edition?

  23. SJP says:

Actually it’s a play on Japanese and English. “Bimbo” is Japanese for “poor person”. On the left of the billboard is “激安”, which means “very cheap”. The shop sells old pc’s at very cheap prices. It’s quite clever.

  24. sora says:

The Japanese reads exactly what the English does, FYI. It’s not a mistranslation but an intentional pun.

  25. ATHFguy says:

    LOL
