    my dung beetle

  2. Droll not Troll says:

So now we know where that fried crap is on the menu.

  3. Kay says:

This doesn’t really count as a misspell~ I mean this is Vietnamese and their language is in English characters only with accent marks. This word is just pronounced differently…so it is not “Engrish Funny Worthy” it belongs in “Epic Uploader Ignorance Fail.”

    • Kame09 says:

Chill Kay. I take it your Vietnamese and take offense to this post?

      • Kay says:

I laugh at most of these things no matter what country it is from, just this one didn’t seem funny, I just wanted to point out it wasn’t a misspell : P no it is not offensive~

        • Kay says:

or if it said “Eat at My Dung~” that would be great : ) Actually I bet that’s what people say when they go there~ “Let’s go eat at My Dung.”

    • jamar says:

We can also make fun of their Chinese. “Beauty Vietnamese Eating Room?” (“mei rong” being the characters in Chinese on the left; I’m assuming that “My Dung” is supposed to be pronounced in a similar manner since it seems to be the name of the restaurant?)
And really, “beauty”? My next thought is if I’m going to get a makeover while I wait for my food to come.

  4. J.k says:

    Failed uploader.

    • Kame09 says:

I you can see it, then it didn’t fail to upload.

      • JohnB says:

Some people fail to upload a sense of humor when they visit this site. I fail to understand why we can’t seem to download them.

        • la conejita says:

Kame failed to upload an “f”.

          • JohnB says:

I can see it. You can see it. Who needs an “f”?

          • Kame09 says:

            ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

  5. Swagger says:

    Restaurant: My Dung

    Thought: You Keep

    Whiners…quitcherbitchin’ this is funny.

  6. JohnB says:

The whole sign says, Nha Hang My Dung. I know the world economy is in the crapper (pun intended), but I wonder what job Nha had before this one…

    • Shangster says:

The words “Nha hang” means restaurant in Vietnamese. “My Dung” is the name of the restaurant, and it is also in vietnamese, hence the little accent on the word “My”. Also, this is not a misspelled or wrong translation. The entire phrase was written correctly in Vietnamese :P

  7. lexan D says:

For certain types of beetles, canines and flies this would be fine dining.

  8. dethscul says:

Ooooooooooh, so THIS is how my dung is created! Eating here!

  9. Marta says:

HaHa! I bet that place gets alot of business!!

  10. em-zee says:

Wow, I bet that place is popular, just packed with people, they should rename the place.

  11. Malvolio says:

Don’t get too excited “Nhà Hàng” means “restaurant” in Vietnamese.

“Mỹ”, pronounced “me”, means either “beautiful” or “American” (not just in Vietnamese, but in many Asian languages). “Dung”, pronounced “young”, can mean “face”, “happiness”, or “forgiveness”.

    • jamar says:

Oh. So that roughly matches the Chinese characters (but still- “beauty”? I can think of more… on-topic names for a restaurant). Though I wonder if the odd word for “restaurant” (餐室- Nhà Hàng?) is carried over from Vietnamese rather than Chinese (餐厅).

      • Kay says:

We can talk forever on the history of language XD History lesson here is – The French invaded Vietnamese a long time ago and destroyed their language, culture, and economy…Vietnam use to have Chinese characters but the French forced change to English Letters so it is easy for them, those bitches…I talked to a French guy the other day and they learn in their history that they saved the Asian cultures and gave them everything, but how come they are all so poor now…OMG am over thinking…this has nothing to do with anything…sorry XD

  12. Mandy says:

I know EXACTLY where that is! I pass by it everyday on my way to work. It makes me laugh every-darn-time!

    • Crossfire905 says:

You too? :-) Okay, so I don’t pass it every day [nor even every month, really] because I live in Temple City and work in Pasadena, but… Yeah. I know I’ve seen the place. Somewhere in Rosemead or San Gabriel, isn’t it?

      HOWDY, NEIGHBOR!

  13. Ishak says:

Yeah its funny. But you know what’s more funny? the stupidity of the uploader!!!

  14. Sarge says:

Their specialty is Cream Of Sum Yung Guy with a side of Flied Lice.

  15. The Tran says:

I found no Engrish here. Nhà hàng Mỹ Dung is written in Vietnamese thus it has nothing to do with English.

    • Humerus Fracture says:

It is the situated context that makes it so. the contextualism (being published here) implies that one must use an engrish epistemic context – an engrish philosophical pragmatism. the very same utterance in situ, Vietnam, is necessarily not engrish, senso stricto. to that we all agree. so sit back and enjoy my dung! btw, i heard its sh!t.

      • bluejade says:

Wtf? JohnB? dr handle? Anybody? What did he just say??

        • Kay says:

He means it’s not Engrish funny, because it isn’t a misspell like I posted at the beginning, he says just to enjoy the English reading of it and the restaurant itself is crappy…

  16. dr handle says:

I came, I saw, I LOLed. If you don’t LOL, then just shaddap and let us “Ten Years Old Inside”s enjoy our puerile laugh. You can snigger at us behind your hands.

  17. virtualONmars says:

hahaha i know where this place is!! i drive pass this every day

  18. Amy S. says:

I went to school with a girl named “My Dung.” She said it was pronounced “Mim.”

Her brother was “Phuc,” and they said that was pronounced “Fope.”

  19. Al says:

LMAO I pass by the place all the time! And every time I always forget my camera.

  20. quichemoselle says:

Sign at main entrance door: Watch Your Step.

  21. molotoff says:

    fail

  22. Superkar says:

    Fail Uploader

  23. Lives in LA says:

Hey Hey Hey! That place is in San Gabriel! I live in Monterey Park so I go there often (Not the dung place) and yeah I loved living in SG but I moved cuz of my skool!

    • Sirk says:

I live in Alhambra, that place is right around the corner from where I am. I was actually thinking of posting that here.. looks like someone beat me to it. XD

  24. Me says:

Is this restaurant in Wichita? I know there was one with the same name here. Just in case anyone wanted to know, phần của tôi would be my dung in Viet. lolol
