*sigh* I still can’t comment without using a proxy.

    • Wow Shadow I had a similar problem, I wound up creating a new account (hence you see why I have meow_tse_tongue and not my old name) and then I was good.

Oddly enough it only worked on failblog.org, but not here. And btw you don’t see my communist cat image, do you? I noticed you fixed your image issue. HOw did you do it?

      • ShadowSplicer says:

*p r o x y . o r g* I think the best one is hideipproxy. It blocks your IP address, and it should let you use your old e-mail address…..

  4. affr says:

omg is “Dina Living Institute for Down Syndrome” so hard to translate -_-

    • Chass says:

“Mongoloid” is a very outdated term used for people with Down Syndrome, due to racist associations between facial features of those Down Syndrome and those of Mongolian descent. So I can see where the mistranslation came in.

      • JohnB says:

But in fact the term “Mongoloid” was used only in the West, because folks with Down syndrome tend to have an epicanthic fold in the eyes. However, in the East it was thought that Down syndrome individuals looked more Western because of other facial features, so it was not unusual for them to use some term meaning “Caucasoid” to refer to Down syndrome folks.

        • Philip says:

Let’s just call them “mixed race” and be done with it.

“Dina Living Institute for the Retarded and People of Mixed Race” – see, much better.

  5. BAW says:

“Residential Facility” might be better for “Living Institute”, and as Chass say, “Mongoloid” is an outdated term for a person with Down Syndrome. (Anyone remember the Devo song “Mongoloid, He Was a Mongoloid”? I think it was Devo, anyway.)

  6. Droll not Troll says:

So which side of the Great Wall is this on?

  7. JohnB says:

Someone’s in the institute with Dina,
    Someone’s in the institute I know-oh-oh-0h,
Someone’s in the institute with Dina
    Bet that someone’s somewhat slow.

  8. sherlock says:

shopped, the mobile numbers are from the UK.

    • jamar says:

Are you sure? Maybe some countries just have coincidentally similar numbering patterns to the UK. Much like if I write out my Chinese mobile number without any context someone could very well confuse it for an American one. (Chinese system is organized 1(3/5/8)x-xxxx-xxxx; if I write it out 1(3/5/8)xxxxxxxxx it looks like a US number with long-distance access code)

  9. CC says:

    Mongolians are not impressed

  10. lana says:

We, the Mongollans are hella offended!

  11. nazani14 says:

Hmm… sign is in Arabic, and Dina is a famous Egyptian belly dancer. Now I know where she gets her clutzoid backup dancers from.

  12. wotevva says:

well, the title of this post is engrish, too:
    “senstivity” :P

  13. Peace of Eight says:

Compassion is for weaklings. And retards.

  14. sash says:

omg THIS IS IN JORDAN lol
that’s where i’m from xD but yes we have a lot of engrish here :P

  15. soso says:

My Arabic is minimal, but “Mongol” is definitely one of the words in there.
