I happen to be very very happy, because it has stayed away from my home.
It has stayed away from our home, too. I suspect the vaccines may have had something to do with it.
None of us have gotten it, and no vaccines were taken.
I had it, but didn’t really notice it – it was very tame as influenza proper goes, it just felt like a bit of a cold.
From what I’ve heard from people who had it, it is usually even worse than the usual flu. I’m lucky because as a health care worker, my getting the vaccine was a priority. I don’t know why the schools around here were fairly quick to get the vaccines.

Man, some people around here got whacked. My kid missed thirteen days of school, and her stomach is still a little weird. A friend had to take antivirals, and her child was really ill. Most of us got sick before the vaccines were available. It took a surprising amount of time to get my energy back, and it made my arthritis much worse for a while.
A neighboring county had to close all its schools for a few days because of high rates of infection and absenteeism.

A “happy virus” is something that makes people happy and it spreads and people just can’t help but be happy. I’ve only met baffled stares when I’ve explained what a virus actually is.
Actually, there is no official definition for a ‘happy virus’. I see what your trying to do, by applying what a virus does and slapping on happy to the beginning, but what you said isn’t correct.
