Baboon chopsticks? NEXT!
I will forgive your not catching the ref in the title, since you are far too young to have any memory of “Peanuts” except in its current “classic” form, and I suspect only us old fogeys actually read it any more.
I have seen many Peanuts comics/couple of the old movies. I like Snoopy.
Yes, that is much better than Spoopy.
….I just laughed so hard that I spooped my pants!
I guess that’s why you missed the “sweet Baboo” series. You were too busy with laundry.
Ha ha. Very funny. Actually, I was working for the Second Harvest Food Bank…..so I missed the TV program!
I never saw it on any TV version, and I certainly haven’t seen it recently in the newspaper (yes, I’ll admit it, I still read honest-to-God paper newspapers! There!! I’m older than dirt!!!) So my memory of it is probably from at least 30-something years ago. (BTW, glad you’re doing volunteer work. Good for the soul.)
I enjoy it! I go every Tuesday @ 6:30 AM, till 8ish
It’s been aired several times a year for the last 35 years. I’m amazed that you’ve always been at the food bank. Not that it isn’t noble, just seems a bit, oh … I’ll be kind and not say.
Given that SS is 14, we really should give him a pass for at least the first 21 of those 35 years, if not a few more. And though I have always been a big fan of Schultz’s strip, I’ve never much cared for the animated versions, myself. They just don’t jibe with my mental characterizations, which predated the animated shows.
I don’t mean the animated one, I mean the classic! Heheh…this was my first comment with the iTouch! Kinda hard to spell right though…
I’m doing ok in spelling so far. Capitals are harder.
Are you replying on your iTouch just for the sake of doing it?
We would not want a non traditional typical to eat with, would we, Baboo.
I think the previous menu was so full of non traditional atypical food of Chinese glorious history that it would be a sin to put chopsticks to any dish there! Except maybe, “Noodles.”
GO GO POWER RANGERS! (Baboo was one of the comic relief villains in MMPR)
Thank you for the ref. Seems to me that I finally learned all the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ names just about the time kids started watching MMPR instead!
And I guess we know what Baboo is doing these days. If all else fails, make chopsticks!
Pr maybe the Power Rangers made chopsticks out of him.
At least the food is nice. I went there and the sushi said to say “Hi” to everybody.
maybe they name before their company on it.
Baboo Chopsticks go well with Lube Sheep.
HEY! I go to this place called Grillz at Cocoa Beach, FL and they have those chopsticks!!! I was SO going to post it!!! :’(….
Try your nice Chinese food with chopsticks. For the yukky Chinese food, we suggest that you use a trowel and shovel it straight into the bin. Or maybe under the table where the dog will eat it.
What about cats?! Will they eat it too?
Ask Meowth.
Meowth hasn’t been around lately. When he is, he is always posting to the past. I wonder if he’s ok.
Meowth, if you are reading this. We miss you and want you to come back and write with us.
He is apparently inhabiting a different time zone than the rest of us, one that’s off by two or three days.
My guess is he quietly licking his butt in a comfortable location, glancing at the rest of us occasionally. You know how cats are.
Cats can be such as$ kissers.
Cats tend to be a lot fussier than dogs, that’s why dogs get the appellation “dishlickers”. Mine has just appointed herself the dishwasher’s pre-wash rinse cycle whenever the door is open.
My local Chinese place has chopsticks that say this exact same thing, except “glorious” is spelled “glonous.”
Yes! My old local joint did, too. Cracked me up.
Check them again, chances are they also say “cultual”, I used to have the same ones.
The backside of that package is even better~
But seriously, I suspect an evil plan for flooding the world with engrish chopsticks…
I saw one very much like this one years ago at my local Chinese joint, only it said “China Gopspicks” Engrish is funny!
The funniest thing about these chopstick wrappers is that they revised them to fix the Engrish. This photo shows the new text. The old one said “glonous history and cultual”. Which I liked a lot better – they only removed the funny errors!
