Very interesting, but: 1. I’m not Italian; 2. I wear waistbands that are appropriate for my waist size. But the next time I buy Italian pants, I will definitely keep this in mind.

A study found a lot of Italians had severe lower back pain. The procedure that corrected most of their problems was to correctly measure their waist size and buy them the correct sized pants and belt. They were wearing grossly undersized pants and the strained waist band and belt they used to keep from popping the buttons and fly was placing a severe strain on their lower backs.

Thanks to two herniated disks and spondylolisthesis, I have recently discovered how hard prolonged, vigorous intercourse is on the lower back! Notice how in the “side effects” portion of the commercials for those blue pills they list “delayed backache.” I suspect the medicine is not the direct cause!
