  1. Sinatra says:

It’s the explosive diarrhea that get’s you.

  2. Jason says:

the dynamite roll is the apatizer,
and the after death roll is the take home food that sooths your body after you expell the dynamite roll

    • sushiman says:

That’s what I think, it may be to “balance out” the dynamite roll. The Japanese have interesting culinary concepts at times.

Then again, it may be spicier, and the menu’s writer was trying to make a reference, like “suicide” flavoured Buffalo wings, but lost in translation.

      • Jason says:

but that isnt nearly as exciting….

        • blueJade says:

My ex mother-in-law once ate a teaspoon of wasabi under the misapprehension it was guacamole… I tried to warn her her… she didn’t listen.
I thought I was going to watch her check out!

          • Jason says:

now that could be exciting…in a scary way.

          • paws4thot says:

I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry; I suspect I should laugh, since I once did something similar under the impression that wasabi was prepared to a similar heat to Western horseraddish sauce!

            • Mark. Gooley says:

‘Course, what’s presented as wasabi in almost all sushi places IS horseradish — but very concentrated. Basically, unless they grate it fresh for you, assume it’s dyed horseradish stuff. I wouldn’t care to eat a teaspoon of it without warning, no.

You can get whole wasabi shipped to you by air freight, in season. Expensive. It’s a pain to grow, like watercress only worse. I strongly suspect that I have never eaten any.

    • Dan says:

forgot the barrel roll ouh no wait ….

  3. telefil says:

I’m actually interested to see what it’s called in Japanese. Sometimes a literal translation of the kanji comes out weird. Admittedly I can’t see the picture very well, but it looks like there might be some spicy tuna on the left and who knows what on the right, rolled in tarako.

    Mmm, now I want sushi ;_;

  4. PoodleGroomer says:

After eating something with “pray for death” sauce, you get a roll with cream cheese, bicarbonate, and a glass of cold beer.

  5. Doctor says:

The one at the bottom gives new meaning to the old phrase, “roll them bones.”

  6. paws4thot says:

And yes, I’m another one who’s wondering interestedly just how much chilli and/or wasabi is in these. Ok, I’m not sure it’s an Engrish given the English names of some hot sauces, but I think there’s 3 of here, and Meowth on her? way who’re more interested in the food anyway!

    • bluejade says:

Wow, that leads to some interesting thoughts on a sauce that combines extremely hot chiles with wasabi. You know somebody out there is going to love it… when habaneros come in season I may give it a whack. Gonna need somebody to try it on… Maybe I’ll run an ad for volunteers. I’m not going to put my mouth around such a substance… well, maybe a teeny bit.

      • Meowth says:

I volunteer! I once ate a handful of Wasabi Soy nuts at once because they came out of the can too fast and I was about to drop them. That was an interesting experience, and not an entirely unpleasant one, at that!

  7. KaliBurns says:

Do the mean the little death?

  8. LarsVonPowerstone says:

At least it’s not an afterbirth roll.

  9. meankitty says:

Yes, I’d llike the after death roll to go please.

  10. KinkyTom says:

There’s something is fishy about that egg roll : P

  11. Leanan says:

I wonder if it has Blair’s After Death Sauce

  12. Booty says:

Hey! I am an atheist and don’t believe in anything after death – do I get a refund?

  13. cevin_cadaver says:

    Do a dynamite roll!

  14. toilet shark says:

    … Mum?…

  15. Akkhima says:

I’m not very impressed by this engrish. Sushi rolls are given strange names, I don’t find this one very special.

  16. Chris says:

First I’ll have the dynamite roll, then when I’m done with that, bring me the after death roll.

  17. Kid Choronsom says:

    not Engrish…
What would you call a sushi roll that you put Blair’s “After Death” sauce in, if not “after death roll”…

An unusual menu, yes….Engrish, no…ignorant person posting this pic, yes.

  18. Aaron says:

Dynamite roll and After Death are the same type of roll just the After Death roll is spicier since it contains Habanero. I have ordered both of these before and are usually listed on the menus next to each other. This isn’t engrish at all.

  19. Cupkate says:

You know the people who eat at this restaraunt are tough when they are expected to want 8 pieces of sushi after death by dynamite roll.
