Andy W. Stack is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from New York. His music is often characterized as folk or rock, and has roots in jazz or country. Stack’s musical influences include Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Elliot Smith, George Harrison, and Jeff Buckley.

Stack began his musical pursuits while still in high school, learning the guitar, bass, piano and drums, while honing his vocal skills. After forming an ensemble with his friends and participating in his high school’s jazz band and chorus, at age 16, Stack was asked to join his guitar teacher’s band, “Fitzhugh and the Fanatics.” Throughout high school, Stack toured throughout the Buffalo, NY area. He applied to college at age 17 while he was still on tour. Stack attended SUNY Purchase from 1998 to 2002, where he received a BA in jazz studies. Although he has played guitar in several bands, Stack now writes and sings his own original music.

Stack has toured through the US, Canada, Venezuela, Anguilla, Spain, France, Italy, Holland, Germany, Belgium, Croatia, England, Portugal, and the Czech Republic. Stack was on the road from 1999-2004, playing in a number of festivals both within and outside the US. At age 19, Stack played the Montreal Jazz Festival, later performing at the North Sea Jazz Festival, Quebec Summer Music Festival, Geneva Festival d’ete, and the Anguilla Jazz Festival, among others.

So that’s whose fault it is when your luggage goes to the other side of the country whilst you wait, with fading hope, beside the carousel – hotels worker is EEBIL!

My previous comment got lost and was inadvertently routed Down Under, and is now under the dominion of Dr Handle.

That’s what happens to everything in the end. Have a look at a map of the world – see how all the continents are pointy down towards our end? That’s Continental Drip, that is.

I’ve read it a few times, and I still can’t tell what they were trying to say there…. Maybe it’s because it’s barely 5:30 a.m. where I am…

    *yawn* Good morning everyone….

    • TheCannyScot says:

I think the idea is that if it’s not a hotel worker, don’t let them take your luggage.
Good morning to you, too! (9:40 here)

My take on what it means, at 8:40AM Central (US) Daylight Time, is that if your luggage is lost, don’t blame the hotel workers. Blame the airline, who of course never has any personnel anywhere near baggage claim for precisely that reason. “I’m sure it’s out on the carousel now. Go take a look! *brief pause* Eunice! I’m out to lunch!!”

      • Happy Panda says:

I know I sound rude, but would you please reserve the annoying millions of “good morning/evening” post for failblog? It’s one of the reasons why I’ve abandoned that place. There is Skype and similar software for such conversations.

  4. Lugubert says:

The Scot has it right. It’s Please don’t allow not-hotel-employee move luggage.

Hello from the left coast!! Just having my coffee now – *YAWN*!
This correct. In Asian countries they have people (non-hotel workers) who will offer to take your suitcases for you, and so the hotel workers don’t get a tip – and these people like ours here live on the tips. Sometimes they just take your luggage and run with it. That happened to a friend of mine at the Beijing Olympics. They got the guy. Moral: don’t steal an ex-track team members luggage.
