Mostly because you like to do the same thing. You don’t like my definition because they don’t make you right.

You should probably get outside more instead of writing books to people that aren’t quite as vested in a web site as you seem to be. As far as my “snark” is concerned, the comment passed moderation; it would seem the site is not as full of itself as you are. Nobody likes a self-appointed cop.

You made the same mistake I did. He/she/it was referring to what was under the picture, which usually isn’t what you or I tend to look at. Instead of “I want to eat the cake” whomever wrote the caption put “I like to eat the cake.” I didn’t find it to be a capital crime since it was little more than a typo, but cocinero differed in his/her/its opinion, both about its importance and whether or not it was a typo.

You detected snarkiness? I sure as hell did. And I wasn’t in the mood for that crap. Grrrrrrr.

You made the statement, “I would have a talk with the comment moderator about allowing you to embarrass yourself like that.” That to me sounds like an insult, since I’ve done nothing to embarrass myself and you are arrogant enough to think so; you are hostile and a bit poisoning to the atmosphere of light humor that is the rule on this site, hence if you inject hostility where none was before, by definition you’re being a troll. I think your behavior is asinine and if you’re gonna be a smartass, I’ll counter-attack.
You are the troll here. If you’ve read my other comments you’d know I’m not too damn serious or hostile as a rule when commenting. I only pointed out that the mistake you pointed out was nothing of consequence, at least to me, and by extension your tone of superiority rooted in your first comment (and all those following) was really unnecessary and founded upon nothing.

Trolls, by the way, don’t necessarily pick fights. They’re just hostile or obnoxious, and about half, give or take, don’t stick around to fight; they are hit and run. I was called a nasty word by someone I’ve never seen before on the site and haven’t seen since to continue any fight. Your definition of a troll is a bit limited, too.

Your definition of typo is way too restrictive. For the record, most typos involve simple duplication, omission, transposition, or substitution of a word or a small number of characters, which is far more than “accidentally hitting one wrong letter or using a similar sounding word.” Transposition is the problem here, so my initial statement stands, so I had no mistake to admit to (you pointing out that I picked the wrong statement in my initial comment was a mistake that I didn’t deny; if I screw up I’ve got no problem conceding the fact, and I mistook which phrase you were pointing out).

No, butterfly cakes are wonderful concoctions of weeny leetle cupcakes with the centre cut out, and a bit of jam and cream dolloped in, then you cut the cut-out bit in half and wedge them in the cream so that they look like wings. They were the cupcakes we had before the advent of gourmet cupcakes. You make them, then shove them into your mouth three at a time. Or maybe that’s just me.
