Rocky and Bullwinkle reference FTW!
(clickie if you don’t get the reference)
Hello. Peabody here with my pet boy Sherman.
Hello. Peabody here with my pet boy Sherman.
lol, I got it. I’m actually going there this monday. I’ll probably see that sign.
Then again, there’s like dozens upon dozens of temples in that city.
Just look for the one that’s way back.
Are you still feeling blue this morning, MGH?
I guess you have to stay “blue” to keep the link up. (I know, I’m a dinosaur, but I do learn something new about this Web just about every day.)
Pease go down same way. This way is so mad.
But go fast. You might end up walking backwards.
I go so fast I arrive before I leave.
You can get nasal spray delivery technology help for That Sort Of Thing, you know.
I said I go fast. I come slow.
“Way Back” isn’t even the Engrish bit, it’s the rest of it. But the Peabody and Sherman reference wins.
I thought I had moved on enough to follow my own path. Now I am way back to following. *sniff*
Way back to following. Good thing this isn’t part of a web browser. For that matter, you may as well turn on off the computer.
In other words: no nearing.
I just saw this sign today. As the guy above me with the hard to read name says, this is at Kiyomizu-dera, the famous “Pure Water Temple” which derives it’s name from the cold springwater which you drink to purify yourself.
Being in a temple in Kyoto, this is obviously a Koan…
And it’s an easy one, too. Think of a cycle; when you move ahead, sooner or later you’ll get to the beginning…
