  1. JohnB says:

I swear, that show will do anything for ratings!

  2. JohnB says:

Of course, I think this really qualifies as Spanglish.

    • JohnB says:

      I meant, of course, Spangrish.

    • Lautaro says:

This is actually perfectly correct Spanish. Peter is saying “Homer is a Family guy” and the under title is “less yellow, more venomous” and then the shows spanish name witch translates to “Father of the Family”. So its not even an Spangrish.

      • David says:

        ENGRISHFUNNY.COM EPIC FAIL!!!!!

This is NOT engrish! is a perfect and actually edgy joke. Fox networks latinamerica has both of the shows, but everyone knows how Family Guy (“Padre de Familia” is the title in spanish, btw) is more tongue in cheek than The Simpsons have ever been. So:

“Homer is a Family Gay” Why? because he doesn’t say the jokes that Peter Griffin says. Now, in here you cannot see it, but on tv and internet ads, Peter Griffin is actually painted Yellow. Then the yellow goes off. And here comes the infamous phrase”Less yellow (less yellow than the simpsons of course) but more acidic (double inuendo for being tongue in cheek). If you have ever in your life tasted a lemon, you would know it is yellow and it’s rich in acid levels. So… the conclussion is… YOU GUYS ARE JUST WAY TOO DUMB TO TRY TO UNDERSTAND A JOKE IN SPANISH. ENGLISH SPEAKERS EPIC FAIL!!!!

  3. Jennifer says:

    Google translate:

    “Homer is a gay family
Less yellow, but more acidic. Parent”

    • JohnB says:

I love this! You made Spangrish into Engrish!

    • JohnB says:

“Less yellow, but more acidic.” Sounds like they’re describing a variety of tomato!

      • Jennifer says:

        My mind went to urine…

But then I thought maybe they’re trying to convey “more caustic” (more acidic), and “less fearful” (less yellow)?

        • Alexbri says:

Or Less Yellow incomparison to everyone in the Simpsons… Who are Yellow… While people in Family guy are human coloured…

          • PointsOutTheObvious says:

*cringe* unnecessary ‘U’s hurt me on the inside. Just thought I’d put that out at least once. And yeah… Do the people who wrote that have ANY idea about the shows? Homero, menos amarillo. Just like the FAIL packaging that messes up superhero names and stuff, these people do NOT know the difference between “Family Guy” and “The Simpsons.”

            • Z says:

Some countries have “coloured” in their dictionaries instead of “colored.” I believe Canada and Great Britain are among such places.

            • atWork says:

You will find, that the “U” is necessary, it’s how the word is spelt.

            • informant says:

and New Zealand. just thought i’d throw that out there. its just America that can’t spell.

            • paws4thot says:

You mean like how people who think that, just because their nation changed the spellings of words, that makes the rest of the World’s English speakers wrong for using the original spelling hurt me on the inside? ;)

            • Droll not Troll says:

@PointsOutTheObvious: So how do you spell “parochial” where you live?

              • JohnB says:

And do you say the “Cannighuts” of the Round Table? English, in ANY country, is chock full of words that have extra letters or are pronounced completely differently than spelled. You call “bac-ka-che” a backache, and grieve over an extra U???

            • KMP Argentina says:

thats from Argentina and its perfectly writen.
the “acidic” word we use it as a mean jokes.

              My translation will be:
homero es un family gay = Homer is a gay with family.
menos amarillo pero mas acido = less yellow, more mean
“padre de familia” is the name of the show in Argentina

And my comments can enter directly in the engrishfuny :D its really hard to write something in other language

              • Droll not Troll says:

It’s nice to see you have a sense of humour, but your English is really pretty good.

              • Rob says:

Actually, the use of the word “Gay” in this context appears to be an attempt to translate the program title phonetically.

If Spanish phonetic rules are strictly followed, the word spelled “gay” in Spanish would have the same sound as the English word “guy”. “guy” would be pronounced like English “gooey” in Spanish.

Of course, in most of the Hispanophone world, “gay” is a loan word from English, and is (against the rules) pronouced like “gue” in Spanish.

      • thore says:

thats because its not the right translation..

homer is a family gay… the pun there is that in spanish (not the correct type) is pronounced gah-y
less yellow but more acid as in acid humor

    • lies says:

I sincerely doubt the accuracy of internet, non-contexual translations.
      But I agree.

      • Sarah says:

That is pretty much what it translates to, if my high school spanish class was good for anything…guess it was :P

        • PointsOutTheObvious says:

Lessee… Homero is a Family Gay. Less yellow, but sharper/harsher/more caustic. (~edgier?) Family Father.

    • Bertico says:

yeah, so its no spangrish, its making fun of the simpsons…ppl dont get that!! (less yellow) refers to the simpsons

    • legen says:

this actually makes sense, if you speak spanish. they know the show is called “family guy”, so they made a pun about the simpsons being gay when compared to family guy. and about the “menos amarillo, pero más ácido” bit, “ácido” in spanish also means “tongue-in-cheek”. So it is: Peter is saying Homer is gay when compared to him; the slogan is “Less yellow, but more tongue-in-cheek” and Padre de Familia is the title they give to the show. not really Engrish, just a lack of sense of humour and knowledge by english-speakers.

      • GONORMAGANTUAN says:

Thank you my friend, I know spanish and i was like….. “why is this on the engrish page?” because it is a perfectly executed joke to a spanish speaker, most spanish speaking countries also borrow english words and use them like the word “gay” so al of you saying we pronounce it different fail horribly, so yeah…… you all would not understand, it’s like talking in slang to a person that has just learned how to speak english, and therefore would not make any sense to them you know….

  4. omar says:

ok, the channel is doing a comparation of de simpsons show and family guy, thats the reason that its say peter that homer is a family GAY,

  5. cakeislie says:

I think this is INTENTIONAL… “Peter is a Family Guy, Homer is a Family Gay”

    • PointsOutTheObvious says:

I think you may be right. Scratch my old comment if this was taken out of context. Perhaps above Peter there is a picture of Homer Simpson with some insult to Peter. Then it would be like a fight/comparison between the 2 shows, which makes a LOT more sense. People, use REAL ENGRISH ON THIS SITE!

      • Droll not Troll says:

Real Engrish? Sounds like an oxymolon!

      • lorena i says:

No! actually, in Venezuela (and I think also in Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, etc) The Simpsons is broadcasted on Fox and Family Guy on Fx, so there’s some sort of an ad battle between the two! The commercial on Fx shows clips of Family Guy and says “Menos amarillo, más ácido” which means, less yellow but more acid. In the picture, Peter’s just saying that Homer is gay! That’s it!

  6. Tiago says:

It’s meant to say gay/homossexual. It’s a joke about Peter being a family GUY and Homer being a family GAY.
    Title Fail :)

  7. Pennyforth says:

Are you sure it’s not just an ad for the episode “Family Gay”? lol

    • Bastian1343 says:

I was just gonna say. It’s not that odd considering that there’s an episode in season 7, called Family Gay

  8. saywhat says:

    Less Amarillo, more Lubbock.

    Actually not a good idea.

  9. Manolo says:

    ENGRISH Fail…

this is not a mistake, nor a misspelling or wrong translation. It was meant to read like that, a joke about Peter (Family Guy) vs the Homer Simpson (Family Gay, catch?). Are you running out of actual and funny content?

  10. JohnB says:

Not being a big fan of either the Simpsons or The Family Guy, I had actually forgotten that the dad on The Family Guy wasn’t Homer. That certainly changes things! But what would be an accurate translation of the “less yellow, but more acidic” part?

    • LaEscopeta says:

I don’t think yellow = coward in Spanish speaking counties.
I’m guessing a translation of the meaning would be:
      “Less cartoon-like, more biting satire”

      • Cananea says:

it’s not. Yellow just stands for yellow. And there is no mistake on this one. There is a whole campaign of Family Guy vs. The simpsons, portraying the family guy characters saying mean things about the simpsons, like Bryan saying “Lisa is not a virgin anymore” so here Family Gay is a pun. Period. No engrish.

    • Manola says:

it means they are not yellow like the simpsons are. their skins is beige. and their jokes are darker than the ones they have on the simpsons show, which they describe as more acid.

this engrishfunny is a fail. take it to the failblog, cause it’s not engrish and not funny.

    • Gude says:

      “Less yellow, but more bitter/caustic.”

It’s a perfectly fine phonetic joke in Spanish.

  11. Tiago says:

FAIL. This is intentional. It’s a joke.

  12. Diego says:

This is fue current campaign the FX channel is using yo promote Family Guy. Thety are totally fighting for rankings with The Simpsons as both new seasons are currently on the air. The campain is basically attacking the simpsons for their current weakness and promotong family guy as a more bitter humored show. This reads: “Homer is a family gay. Less yellow, more bitter.”

    • David says:

gringos mas mulas! jajajaja tratando de entender una broma en español jeje … Is Five Minutes break engrish? xDDDD

  13. Agent00 says:

    Less yellow, but more sour.

    • JohnB says:

But what is the idiomatic meaning of “less yellow” in Spanish?

      • rafa says:

ok guys, you failed at this one…less yellow makes a reference to the simpsons ok? mas acido(more sour) makes a reference that family guy is more irreverent(spelling) and calling homer gay well i dont think you need an explanation to that :P

        • JohnB says:

So they’re just comparing his color to that of Homer Simpson?

          • rafa says:

yeah something like that :) in general they are calling the simpsons a little boring, and gay :P

          • buckinarut says:

It’s funny. Mat Groening, the cartoonist who created the Simpsons, decided to use yellow for the Simpsons’ skin color so people would think their color on their TV was screwed up and try like hell to adjust it. Learned that from seeing the cast being interviewed on Inside the Actor’s Studio.

          • David says:

They are actually comparing them like if they were two lemons. Homer is more yellow, but Peter is more sour. Simple. It is actually a smart joke in spanish. :)

      • PointsOutTheObvious says:

It’s not idiomatic. It means the COLOR. It is comparing Peter Griffin to Homer Simpson.

      • Lilyjo says:

No idiomatic meaning, they just mean less yellow as in the color yellow, the simpsons are yellow, family guy is regular people color i guess, more human looking not yellow color at all

      • n00lsyst3m says:

just that family guy guys are less yellow as in the simpsons …
you really must live in a spanish speaking country to understand this add

  14. daemon2k3 says:

This was intentional. Not Engrish nor funny.

    • Hikky says:

Yeah, it’s a pun! It doesn’t count as Englrsh because, well, it’s Spanish. Spanglish if you wish, but it’s a pun, people. It’s a damn pun

  15. aburrido15 says:

w00t that’s here in Bogota, it’s a campaign to get more people too watch Family Guy by sayng the Simpsons are too “mellow” or boring.

  16. Desmonard says:

The meaning of the joke is so obvious.
In fact, the other publicities state that “Lisa isn’t a virgin anymore” [Brian] and “Bart’s a Nerd” [Stewie]. Family Guy pwns it for being agressive xD

  17. Janet says:

Come on folks .. apparently enough of us voted for it .. it made it to the front page! I think it’s funny, but maybe that because I don’t speak Spanish.

    • what says:

The people who voted for it don’t speak Spanish and didn’t put it into google translator so they didn’t get the joke. It got voted for by people who incorrectly assumed it was a mistranslation.

    • Mel says:

True that! I speak spanish, and it’s mildly funny for me

  18. AAA says:

Get some spanish-english translators that can actually translate this and its context, and then if u want classify it as engrish…. wich is obviously wrong.

  19. Chirigami says:

THIS IS AN AD FROM LATIN AMERICA, OR AT LEAST ARGENTINA (and as I read, in Colombia too).

    I’M FROM ARGENTINA.

    Now, for the real version.
We USE the word “gay” in the same meaning as you. And we know the title of the show is “Family Guy”, although we also call it “Padre de familia” (“Family Father” in spanish, bad translation, I know).

The thing is like MANY said before me: This is intentional, “acidic” in spanish means… Hmm… How to say it… “Strong content”. So it kind of means that Family Guy is “less yellow but more acidic” than the Simpsons.

It’s not Engrish. And it’s been made by Fox Latinoamérica itself… ¬¬ They wouldn’t commit such a foolish mistake. If you noticed, most mistakes are made by low quality enterprises which don’t even hire a translator.

I’d request they took it off, but I know they NEVER do… ¬¬
Not fail not fail not fail not fail *starts shouting like a 5 year old kid*

  20. Agnus says:

This is a joke form fx XD, gay in spanish have the same meaning, fx use this kind of propaganda attacking the simpsons because they are broadcasted on fox almost at the same time

y no me regañen por mi ingles que aprendi jugando rpgs

  21. Magitek says:

La verdad esta bien escrito, no veo el problema. Family Gay esta asi porque la mayor parte de los fan de los Simpsons odian a Peter Grifin (Fail)

It’s actually well written, i don’t see the problem. Family Gay is written like that cause most of the Simpsons Fan hate Peter Grifin.

It’s the FOX LA promo for the FX Family Guy.

  22. whadafaka says:

I’m sorry but his is not a fail or Spangrish. Its just Peter Griffin saying in spanish “Homer( from The Simpsons) is a Family Gay” =(in spanish) “Homero es un Padre de familia GAY”. Padre de familia gay = Family gay.

Menos amarillo, mas acido= Less Yellow, more acid.

So the guy who posted this fail this time and so do the ones who said “Spangrish”. its just family guy publicity making fun of the simpsons.

  23. Diego says:

I think a screenshot of this post, posted in failblog would make much more sense hahaha. Engrish.com fail.

You thought Fox Latinamerica has made a mistake, oh wait, no; you just weren’t clever enough to get the joke haha.

By the way, I’m from Guatemala, and we proudly hold the headquarters of Fox Caribbe and Central America!

  24. white says:

    engrishfunny fails

  25. Rin says:

    lol, you fail.

  26. Mr. Bed says:

this is stupid, it’s not a mistake, it was meant to be that way……….

  27. Baloo says:

anyway, I only see Spanish in that picture…

    language identification fail

  28. Energuemeno says:

La mejor explicacion que logre redactar.

So funny understand this, this is from latin america as other people says, i have seen it on the streets in Chile. There is no joke, or pun or whatever, its just a advertasing campaing to make people watch Family guy, apealing to the fact that “its like the simpsons, but with more acid/sharper/etc jokes”, the thing is that the ad its made for people who dont necessary read english, so the word “family” read in spanish sounds equaly, but “guy” dont, so they put “gay”, that it whould be has it should sound. If someone who dont read english read “gay”, its sounds like “guy” in english. I think i cant make it clearer.

    • cata9320 says:

de hecho no, se refiere a que homero es homosexual, no a que decir gay en español suene cmo guy. gay en español se dice igual que en ingles. es una palabra en ingles, el que no lo diga asi no sabe hablar

  29. Maciu says:

Dudes… it´s not Spangrish at all. The whole intention of that sentence it´s to demonstrate that Family Guy it´s an ironic, acid kin of comedy show. It is their intention to call Homer GAY, that is the joke.
Nice try though, keep on with the great job.
    Greetings from Argentina

  30. Maciu says:

Uhm, another thing… does this picture qualify as an Engrish/Spangrish Fail???

  31. aube says:

It’s not anything engrish, says “homer is a “family gay” (which for non english speakers pronounces like family guy). Less yellow but more acidic, family guy (on) FX”
padre de familia is the spanish title for family guy.

The fail is the person who took the picture who doesn’t speak spanish at all :)

  32. RyuuKiba says:

Am I the only guy around here that Knows that it was on purpose? Gay as in homosexual is written the same in spanish as it is in English. Obviously, given Family Guy’s latest comercials at least in Mexico, calling Homer a Family Gay is just another advertising stunt and NOT a grammar mistake.
Why the hell would he call Homer a Family Guy? It’s like not saying anything bad about the competition when you could… which would be pointless

  33. matty says:

um..this isnt engrish.. its actually good spanish..Peter is saying that Homer is Gay…below it says that Peter is less yellow then homer simpson

  34. Kelly says:

they are taking a jab at the simpsons, calling homor a family gay. and the spanish is perfect, so there is no engrish here.

  35. Lalas says:

Homer clearly told GBM that while he does like rainy days and movies, he also said: “I don’t like that. No I don’t like that either. It’s not that I’m afraid, I’m gonna hang up now bye.” Homero is not gay!

  36. Janet says:

Can’t we agree that this could be very funny to people who don’t speak Spanish?

  37. Hug says:

THis might be referring to the acutal episode Family Gay?????

    Anyone thought of that possibilty

  38. abc motivo says:

    ENGRISH.COM FAIL.

and this is not the first one… first the cola one from mexico, and then the mi casa es mi casa souvenir.

    JEEBUS!

    wtf!

    • Kelly says:

actually, the mi case es mi casa is bad spanish… “my house is my house”… so maybe it´s spangrish… nipoñol…. espajapon?

    • JohnB says:

Uh, sorry, but this is NOT engrish.com. It is engrishfunny.com. If you don’t believe me, check your browser. So if you’re going to rate a site based on technicalities perhaps you should get your own technicalities straight first. FAIL! And probably not your first, either.

  39. Crap says:

    It sais:
    Homer is a Family GAY
    Less yellow but more bitter.

It is meant to say ‘gay’, against the Simpsons.
    It’s a play of words…

  40. Bauglir says:

This is not a fail… it is part of the new ads for Familiy Guy in Fox Latin America. They are saying that Family Guy is like the Simpons, but less yellow and more bitter. Actually those ads start with a disclaimer indicating that the show may be offensive for Simpsons fans…
And as some people already pointed out, the “family gay” part is a pun.

  41. buckinarut says:

I’m being moderated? But I thought I was being pretty moderate. And I was trying to moderate. Oh, well.

  42. deABREU says:

this is a joke, a pun, not an engrish.

  43. Paul says:

This is NOT engrish, it is in fact a pun in spanish. FAILERS.

  44. Maria says:

This is an ad for Family Guy’s (Padre De Familia in Argentina) new season in Argentina.
That’s why it’s says “Homero es un Family Gay” what would translate as “Homer [Simpson] it’s a Family Gay”
The joke is “comparision” between Family Guy and The Simpsons.

The correct translation for “Menos amarillo pero más acido” would be “Less yellow but more mean”
The yellow part refers to The Simpsons’ characters skin color.
And in spanish Acidic also stands for mean jokes

    Sorry for my bad English

  45. GandWuser says:

Does anyone have pictures of the other Family Guy vs. The Simpsons campaign? I heard that there were more like “Lisa is not a virgin anymore”.

  46. PCthoughtpolice says:

So, you’d be delighted to see spanish-language ads saying “Seinfeld is a filthy Jew” or “Oprah is a n***er”, because it’s so wonderfully politically incorrect? Using “gay” as an insult is fine as long as there are enough cretins doing it?

You haven’t noticed that South Park lets its mostly entirely unsympathetic characters use “gay” as an insult to *ridicule* people who do it?

    You know what? Get stuffed.

  47. thore says:

    this is not a fail..
theres another add but with stewie in it in yellow tones that says

    Lisa ya no es virgen

translated means Lisa isnt a virgin anymore

then the yellow washes away and the the family guy pun…
less yellow but more acid.. acid meanning as in harsher comedy

  48. Jim says:

Engrishfunny fail, this was an intended pun. It makes sense in Spanish.

  49. Diego says:

Yeah, in latinamerica we do use gay as an insult in advertising. Maybe we’re a little more open-minded and don’t take TV shows so seriously… Sorry my northamerican friends, sometimes other ethnics just happen to be cooler than you. Hahaha.

    • JohnB says:

“Gay” and “retarded” happen to be the most popular words of insult among our youth today (trust me, I know, I’m a parent!), but our advertizing is usually quite PC and wouldn’t use either one. I personally find them both offensive as insults, because I happen to be friends with a number of fine gay people, and I happen to work with mentally retarded individuals about whom I care a great deal. As I often say in training staff, retarded is not at all the same as stupid.

  50. Anonymous says:

It makes sense in Spanish so it shouldn’t be here, if it were English and made no sense, or Spanish and made no sense it would be fine.

  51. Lucy says:

its a whole thing they got going on here in latin america, brian says “lisa is not a virgin anymore” and i dont remember what stewie says but oh he says sth!

  52. Anteo says:

    OMG engrishfunny.com FAIL XD!

  53. Zupermario says:

If you don’t know don’t speak, it was made that way to call Homer Simpson gay, It’s too deep for you guys to understand

  54. Arturo de CR says:

In fact, it’s just a campaign about Family Guy vs The Simpsons, as someone pointed before me. I remember a Family Guy ad on FX, with the phrase “Simpsons fans won’t understand the next scenes”.
    Totally not Spangrish
    ¡Saludos desde Costa Rica!

  55. Hiro says:

yep..this is actually well written in spanish…
    FAIL!

  56. Joe says:

It’s saying that Homer from the Simpsons is Gay. Watch Family Guy instead. It’s less yellow (like all the yellow simpsons people) but more acidic, or funny, controversial, whatever, pick one. Simpsons suck, watch family guy.

  57. Weegee says:

LOL, THE SAME AD APPEARED WHEN I OPENED THE LOL CELEBS !!!

  58. Lalo Landa says:

That happens when you make fun of other people but you only speak in english. Try to learn other language and then make fun if you understand what are you laughing at.
BTW: I never took english lessons, i learned watching movies and reading lyrics of popular songs. This is funny in spanish, but as always, you think the world is all about you and your language.

    • JohnB says:

This site is not about making fun of other people. It is about having fun with the misunderstandings and absurdities that can result when translation is imperfect, particularly as has been engendered by the widespread use of simple-minded translation software. There are occasional comments from someone to the effect of “foreigners are so stupid,” but those people are invariably promptly put in their place. Most of us have no doubts that English speakers trying to make sense in other languages say things just as funny as vice versa! I personally take exception to Americans’ frequent belief that they have no need of learning other languages.

  59. Necrossx says:

This is intentionally… is an ad from Argentina…
they are comparing family guy with the simpsons
saying that is more controversial than the simpsons
where else you can see a gay talking dog? :P

    • Sigman Fraud says:

      “… a gay talking dog?”

I thought it was Stewie, the baby, who was unabashedly gay. And that Brian, the dog, was suffering from depression due to his hopelessly low status in the family, a morally unrestrained thirst for alcohol, and a strong desire for cross-species “relations”? The world’s first honest depiction of a perfectly “normal” family dog, actually. ( … first honest depiction for a “normal” boy baby, also.)

  60. Jorge says:

    This isn’t Engrish.
In Spanish, if spoken literally, the sound of “gay” becomes the same as the sound of “guy” in English, so it is NOT Engrish.
By the by, i’ve seen the same ad in Portuguese, and it says “Homer is Gay”, only that….and the less yellow stuff.

  61. David says:

Including this here is an Epic FAIL and should be removed.
This is an add by FOX networks in latin america, stating that Family Guy does so much things that the Simpsons won’t say. So it reads “Homer is a family gay. Less yellow but more sour.” it is perfectly correct, shouldnt’t be here. It was a marketing “punchline”.

    Greetings from Guatemala.

  62. Matt says:

    They meant this
They’re saying Peter is a family guy, Homer is a Family Gay (get it?)
and they’re saying Family Guy is less yellow, but more racy and inappropriate.

  63. Xavier Tenka says:

In fact, it is not a fail that’s the real publicity, it even appears in the TV, they make something like “offending” the Simpsons so… it’s not Engrish ):…

  64. Laurie says:

I really think that it’s supposed to say Gay. They’re making fun of the Simpsons in a non-politically correct way.

  65. raul says:

    engrishfunny.com just FAILED here!

    • JohnB says:

But there were far more EPIC FAILS by the horde of people who said things like this without bothering to check if that might have already been said, like a dozen times!

  66. Benny says:

actually, is a mockery, Peter is saying that homer (from the simpsons) is a “Family Gay”
The slogan is saying: less yellow, more acid “family guy”

  67. Mariana says:

Hey! I’m from the country where this add was placed (Argentina) It’s not engrish, it’s actually a word game: Homer (from The simpsons) is a Family Gay, like, homosexual gay :P . It’s an attack to the simpsons, the rival show of family Guy.
The joke is quite dreadfull, actually, but, heh, well, at least it makes sense, not like the chinese engrish, rite? =P
    Good net!

  68. Sarah says:

Yeah, this is ENGRISH because they are trying to speak english not spanish. Spanish is not the language that Americans speak. I know this site is shown all over the world, but it is called engrish funny, not sranish funny, mmk

  69. Shredder says:

This ad is in my city (Santiago, Chile), the first time i saw it i Lol’d cuz I hate Simpsons :)
And Like Mariana said, it’s a word game….Family [Gay], there’s no engrish on it… :)

  70. El Kaze says:

They are making fun of the Simpsons this aint a typo :/

  71. Leh says:

This picture should be removed since it does not apply the site’s intentions. You have clearly fail and this will eventually appear in failblog unless it is removed.

  72. KenshinTW says:

Lol, this is on purppose, its a wordplay in spanish

  73. David says:

You know what the funny thing in here is? It is not even ment to be a translation, the Engrish fail are you guys who want to translate something from spanish to english and will never be smart enough to understand the pun on this campaign.

It cannot be Engrish, because it is not a bad translation!

    ENGRISHFUNNY.COM EPIC FAIL
    ENGRISHFUNNY.COM EPIC FAIL
    ENGRISHFUNNY.COM EPIC FAIL

    ENGRISHFUNNY.COM EPIC FAIL
    ENGRISHFUNNY.COM EPIC FAIL
    ENGRISHFUNNY.COM EPIC FAIL

  74. Fox says:

LOL! translated from spanish to english this says: Homer is a Gay Family

    • David says:

Why would you even try to translate this into english? and even worse why are you looking for a fail on this? It is correct spanish with a pun on how Gay the simpsons are now, perfectly correct.

  75. alison says:

i no this off topic but who is jasper???

  76. David says:

I wouldn’t call it Engrish, this has to be SPANGRISH, becasue the whole thing is in spanish with the exception of the name of the show and the gord Gay instead of Guy which is part of the pun for this ad. There should be quality standards on this site.

THIS IS NOT ENGRISH, THIS IS SPANGRISH because none of you guys are even able to understand the perfectly correct joke.

  77. Spanish Guy says:

Actually, this is not a bad translation.
It’s a joke, they use words with a double meaning in Spanish. I guess it’s not possible to translate it into English.
I love all your sites, BTW. :)

  78. Ed says:

This no engrish and not even spangrish, this is a campaign of a subdivision of Fox networks (FX is Fox but with douchebag attitude) to tell the public: “The Simpsons are pretty much a gay show compared to what you can see in Family Guy”.

    This is a huge FAIL.

  79. trophyman says:

yeah, I don’t think this counts. They meant to say Family Guy because Peter is making fun of Homer, saying he is Family Gay. Plus, they write Family Guy right further down the poster (Padre de Familia)

The less yellow, more acidic thing is stupid.

  80. adrian says:

sorry, but this is not engrish, my comment will be, but that ad is not, I mean I guess you can get the pun, and No, we dont confuse peter griffin with homer simpson, its just like saying homer is a family gay, you know homer is gay, etc, well people made smarter comments before me, so I wont repeat the same, I am just trying to give my support to the ones before me, it is not a crime or there is nothing horribly wrong. cheers, and thanks for the LULZ :P

  81. Juan Pablo says:

as stated before in multiple occasions this is an epic FAIL…So its close but no Engrish…

  82. Winston Wolfe says:

Are you guys done yet? Damn, and I thought I was good at wasting time…
