It’s one I’ve posed concerning various veterinary worming medications over the years: worming tablets for dogs or cats are labelled as having “desirable liver taste”, worming paste for horses was labelled “pleasant aniseed taste”, worming stuff for birds labelled with “apple taste”, etc. etc. etc. Attempting to administer these “nice” tasting medications invariably resulted in being bitten/kicked/scratched/pecked/flung across the yard. And that was just the canary. Is this lying in advertising? Has anybody ever actually tasted these things to confirm whether they do in fact taste “pleasant”? Somebody in the advertising sections of those companies should – it might save a law suit or two, and that person would be completely worm free for the next three months.
