  1. ObscureWittyReference says:

Always good to have that extra ass stashed in your pocket in case something happens to the original one. Disney really does make life happier.

I like the “rimi” feature too. : P

  2. Droll not Troll says:

Another post about crack? This is getting SPOOKY!!!

  3. Harvey says:

Didn’t The Pretenders have a hit with this song? “Ass in Pocket”?

  4. A. Toad says:

Maybe it has the happiest crack on Earth.

  5. Kevin says:

Um, do you mean envisioned? Invision means blindness.

  6. Achul says:

    Vision FAIL! Ass Win!

  7. chocomuffin says:

It’s not Englirsh, it’s Norwegian… Ass is an abbreviation for a word (forgot what the full word was) that means that there are different kinds of the product (different kinds of lollipops in one box, different pocket games (usually just called ‘pocket’ in Norwegian) in one basket…)

    • Yuri says:

assorted, or assortierte om du vil.

By the way all of the Norwegians in here, this is not the first time this abbrevation has been posted on Engrish, it happens all of the time. It’s just funny in different contexts.

    • xmiriam says:

Ass is an abbreviation for “assortert”. And Pocket GAMES? Pocket is what we Norwegians call a paperback/softbook/softcover.

    • Chris says:

      Assortment.

  8. chocomonster says:

    Assortert..?

RIMI is a Norwegian supermarket. Think Wal-Mart.

  9. rissa says:

this isn’t engrish! ass in norway is a shortened word for “assorted”…mleh

  10. Aoife says:

Nice to see Disney moving into the adult market.

  11. Raychee says:

yeah, this is from Norway :P
i used to live there. ASS = assorted .

    • CaledoniaSky says:

Even still, “Disney Pocket Assorted” is bad grammar to say the least.

      • wihel1812 says:

This is written in norwegian, not english… Disney is a name so it’s the same in norwegian, we use the english word for pocket books and Ass. is short for assorted…

        • Svish says:

When did “Disney Pocket Assorted” turn into norwegian? This is new to me! Also, yeah, the grammar is bad… should be “Assorted Disney Pockets”.

          • wihel1812 says:

Disney is a name. You don’t translate a name, so Disney is Disney in norwegian.
Pocket is a word we use in Norway. Just like you took Window from the norwegian word “Vindauge,” we took the word pocket from you. Believe it or not, this is also norwegian.
Assortiert is a Norwegian form of the english word Assorted. And in norway we don’t place the words in the same order as you do in english. It’s a funny picture, but it’s not an english phrase (even though it uses english words)

            • Ivar Immerguten says:

And so we opt for world domination!
BTW Rimi just rebranded. Prolly ’cause of this thread here.
Their new logo is quite amazingly bad.
The designer of this is obviously also a sales rep. Leaving no doubt to the fact that he’s much better at sales than design..

            • KuaM says:

The grammar is bad in norwegian too. The problem here, however, is NOT Grammer.. it’s lack of punctuation.. Correct would be “Disney pocket. Ass.”, “Disney pocket; Ass.” or “Disney pocket: Ass.” They are simply making two different comments on the same product.

  12. Vikari says:

There’s a shop branch called Rimi in Latvia, too. As far as I remember, their old logo used to have a blue star.
Ass = short for soemthing (i forgot, and my latvian sucks now)

  13. puppatoons says:

I have that in a photo taken of my husband and me outside the castle at Disney; some broad squatted down, rear facing us, to take a pic of her toddler, and her bulging muffintop crack is on lovely display (not!) in the lower right-hand corner of our professionally-taken photo. :P

  14. dr handle says:

Some new Disney character with a colostomy bag?

  15. NYCrochet says:

    ENvisioned! Engrish FAIL!

  16. Paul0075 says:

I don’t think that’s an authorized use of the trademark…

  17. Lord Dragon Claw says:

    It’s envision, not invision!

  18. Virrie says:

Let’s not forget that RIMI also sells Lindors Ass Bags.

  19. xyzea says:

As someone has already tried to inform…yes this is in Norwegian, I saw that in my local RIMI and I can see how it’s funny but at the same time I find it offensive that someone states something once they have already been informed that it is in fact not translated and say that it is wrong…well that makes me sick. And don’t get me wrong but this is in no way an Engrish Fail.

  20. Dave says:

    RIM-i indeed…

  21. KatehThaKitteh says:

Disney Pocket Ass, hmm? Think they’re talking about the Jonas Brothers?

  22. Marte says:

Not too funny, this is for shure from a norwegian food store.. Ass is short for “assorted”

  23. norkvinne says:

As others have stated, this is Norwegian, not bad English (yeah, we take in a few english words in our vocabulary). It’s only funny if you take it out of context.

  24. who thinks of these things?
