  1. Duffy says:

Do you is this for words surprise collection drink random penguin or of sandwich, only joy joy? Thinking train slate shunning absinthe from helping?

  2. Munior says:

    It’s a special offer!
    Less than 600 Y!
    So take it…!

  3. fat pigeon says:

This might just be the most incomprehensible submission yet.

  4. Allison says:

That looks like it might be beer in that picture. Whoever wrote that must have been sampling his own product.

  5. JohnB says:

How can you not understand it, since, if you are people, you each has Dagaz? It’s like the old philosophy question about a tree falling in the forest. If a person has Dagaz, but doesn’t understand it, do they really have Dagaz?

  6. loonylion says:

Dagaz is the rune of awareness, clarity, hope and security in the Eldar Futhark. what is cut off the picture could be the bottom of the rune. (looks something like |X|) Maybe that is relevant to what they’re trying to say.

    • Kara says:

Actually loonylion is correct it is a rune, shaped like an angular hourglass laid on it’s side (you can just see the edges of the shape, this is the weirdest translation I have ever seen!!

    • The man behind you (yes, THAT man) says:

Futhark? Like the fictional Naboo writing language Futhark, as opposed to the more informal Futhork:

      Futhark
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.

Futhark was a form of alphabet based on ovals and circles. Used on the planet of Naboo, the symbols were mainly used on spacecraft, such as the N-1 starfighter, and controls to distinguish different features.

Futhark was the formal written version of the Naboo language, whereas Futhork was the informal writing.

  7. LouZha says:

    Epic incomprehensibility win!
Mebbe its trying to advertsise a social network or dating service?

  8. JohnB says:

I prefer to think of this as something transcendental, like some sort of first cousin of Zen. But in trying to actually decipher what could have been meant, the only way I can see “dodges” coming in is if this is some sort of vacation-planning outfit, as in “dodge”=get away from, so then “get away, meet people, discover things–to find out how to arrange a great vacation, inquire here now.” But of course, in the grand tradition of Engrish, this could also be advertizing a soft drink, or bras for men…

  9. griffinlady says:

All ur Dagaz R Belong to Us

  10. dr_handle says:

    Dagaz. I haz it.

  11. Guess Again says:

Uh…if I had to wager a guess, I’d say that the picture is the bottom of a glass of beer with the foam running down the side…but then again it might be a self-fulfilling prophecy since I love beer. As for the rest of the text, I’m guessing that it’s trying to say that you can meet new people while you are drinking their product (the beer) and new possibilities are abound, i.e. new friends and/or relationships.

  12. alienchild says:

In South Africa, “Dagga” is slang for weed, dope, marijuana, whatever you want to call it…. So this actually makes no sense what so ever, especially if you has has “Dagga” in the last ten minutes!

  13. clipper says:

    Tasty! But do they delivery?

  14. matt says:

    “People are Haagen Dazs…”

  15. Vuncky says:

Dagaz is also a bar in Osaka.

I haven’t been but this could be some of their signage.

  16. Bleerxom says:

Slim pretty barf matts no can awaits soulfully some hell corncob blooming, no?

  17. Mark. says:

Okay, the very bottom of the rune called “dagaz” is visible above the word Dagaz — I’m pretty sure of that. I’m guessing a beer, and a very soft sell about how the beer is authentic and clear as day (= dagaz) and not phony, and how we’re supposed to… something. Beats the hell outta me.

I was gonna do a Haagen Dagaz joke but it just falls flatter than stale beer.

  18. So…it’s a dating service where the meetings take place in a Dodge? Romantic, much?

  19. funnyOne says:

Old english runes. The Dagaz rune meant “a breakthough, a new beginning.”

  20. LULZ says:

I used to go to this bar reguarly. It’s in Tennoji, outside of JR station that faces the McDonalds.

  21. lolhuman says:

    RUNIC FAIL.

  22. comment.elf says:

Hmmm, runecast for going bar drinking is. Answer go drink friends.

“People are has each Dagaz”: Dagaz bar is for all people.
“It’s something in favor of dodges, with meets & discovery.”: It’s a place where even the shy will meet new people.
“Be find out for possibility of there are each starting, for this time & place.”: This is the place and now is the time to find out what new possibilities may await you.

  23. difficult to understand this one.
