wow. I was starting to think that all these beautiful Engrish traditions died in my country, but now i’m confident they’re alive and doing well.
However, for some reason the German translation is quite decent.
so what is it supposed to mean?
My German is rough but it looks like ” Handbrake, turn untill resistance (is felt)” I can only guess that the word that is covered is unwichtigtes, which would mean that non-vital usage will be punnished.

Whats funny is they got the French translation pretty much right.

The correct translation would be
“When the need arises, turn the hand break to the right until you feel resistance. Unnecessary usage will carry a penalty”
If I may offer a slight correction: this should read:
“In case of emergency, turn the hand brake to the right until until resistance is felt. A penalty applies for unathorised use”.
Ok; so my version is not a translation but a transliteration, in order to provide standard syntax and grammatical approach for this type of notice.

The Polish version, as the initial one is correct (which is not always the case, as some people even suck at their own language). No idea about the French one and the German one sounds plausible. English one is just a load of bullcrap transferred through an online translator or something.

“Im notfall drehen bis zum widerstand” is correct!
“Richtiges benutzen wird bestraft” is big fail cuz it means “Correct use will be punished”
if anyone is wondering why i guess behind the engrishfunny-logo is an >Ri< because the only word i can remember this far that comes with “chtiges” is “Richtiges” (translation: “correct” e.g. “Correct use of something”)

of course it could be “richtiges”. but i think “unberechtigtes” is a bit looooonng try to paste “unbere” beneath the shown “chtiges”. thats twice the size.

Yes, Partly correct, but it sounds terribly!

unrichtig (adjective) = incorrect.
berichtigen (verb) = to correct.
its supposed to be ” nichtiges” meaning unnecessary or “unwichtiges” meaning not important

The reason why Engrish tlansration is the worst of three is because it’s the most recent one. Those notices (and many others in Polish trains) used to be translated into German, French and Russian, but not into English (because USSR was our beloved older brother, and we didn’t have a rail line to London anyway).
