  1. lauren says:

not engrish? yes to carrots is a skin care line.

    or maybe i don’t get it ..

    • christine says:

I agree.. not engrish just poorly grammar…. Yes to Carrots is a skin & hair care line. But .. I can see why someone would think its engrish

    • Amber says:

No, you’re right Lauren. “Yes To Carrots” is a skin care line whose main ingredient is carrots. This sign is correct, just somewhat confusing.

    • rebecca says:

sorry, not “engrish”. This sign IS done correctly, believe it or not! Yes To Carrots is a wonderful line of products actually

  2. Ben says:

my skin is not thirsty thank you very much. I am.

  3. kimkim says:

    I don’t get it either. It’s a good product though…

  4. Sara says:

Yes to Carrots IS a skin care line. It’s a poor ad, but not Engrish…

  5. smacky says:

No to engrish, no to fail, yes to carrots, no to Nathan for not being more observant of what was likely on a nearby shelf. Yes to my cranky pants!

  6. michaela D'Angelo says:

yeah, i agree with everyone else. “yes to carrots” is a skin care line. and just for future reference, there’s “yes to tomatoes” and “yes to cucumbers” also.

  7. LEILA says:

Maybe if they put the name of the product in italics, bold or even in quotes. Definitely poorly executed ad. lol

  8. catgirl says:

“Yes to Carrots” is a silly name for a product. If it’s not engrish, then it’s a product naming fail.

    • nightlyeclipse says:

I agree. Can you imagine sending your husband to the store and he sees Yes to Carrots on the list?

      • gladys says:

See, any guy I’ve dated, if I sent him to the store and put Yes to Carrots on the list, he would come home with…well, beer and nachos, most likely.

I really, REALLY need to rethink my dating pool.

  9. spifficial says:

I got a sample of this stuff. I assume it’s a line of skin care like Burt’s Bees, but with carrots. Anyone try it?

  10. MinisterofSilly says:

I have never ever heard of Yes to Carrots. What a crappy product name though…

    • gladys says:

Agreed on both counts (and if you’ve never heard of the product, it actually IS pretty good Engrish)–I’m trying, though, to imagine the meeting with the marketing team where they made the final decision on the name.

I’m imagining a lot of bourbon and some really good weed had to be making the rounds, for them to come up with a name like this.

  11. Major Bloodnok says:

Where’s the panda? I don’t see what is so funny in this [end sarcasm]

  12. snuzzle says:

Yeah, there’s no Engrish here, just typical American poor grammar. “Yes to Carrots” is a decent skincare line. I dislike though, how they advertise being totally natural and they’re not.

  13. Dr.Jones says:

BTW, that’s totally a sign at Walgreens. They sell that horribly-named product there and their ads are on yellow signs. I have some better Walgreens-Engrish pictures on my phone

    • Hilary says:

Ahahaha, I was going to point out that it’s Walgreens. I used to work at one. Same paper, same font.. (Plus now that I look at the background, of course it’s Walgreens.)

  14. ThinklePeep says:

I’m liking the fancy frame for the poorly executed advert.

  15. Kelly says:

Um, this is taken at a walgreens, as I can see Hilary noticed as well. I too used to work there. However lame it is, it isn’t Engrish.

    And Walgreens sucks.

  16. Obeje says:

Actually, Yes To Carrots is a beauty company. I have their shampoo & conditioner it rocks.

  17. Becky says:

Unfortunately, most Walgreens signs are printed on that paper (they’re our “11×7′s”) and that font. The program we use to make signs has absolutely NO options, that’s basically all you get. There are other ways to make the signs, but it’s actually a lot of work for something that will probably only be up for a week or so. And you only get so many lines of text, hence the “short, sweet, to the point-ness” of it.

And Yes To Carrots is an amazing product, BTW.

    :-)

  18. PinkMagnolia says:

    Engrish fail.

  19. TarTarsauce says:

Walgreens is full of fail. Period.

  20. Savannah says:

“yes to carrots” definitely is a skin care line. this isn’t engrish, it’s all correct

  21. Ranae says:

Yes to Carrots is a skin and hair line, and has an intense moisturizer, which makes the “skin thristy” line make sense… this picture really isn’t engrish…

  22. Iris says:

Like they said…it’s from Walgreens, I used to work there. It’s not Engrish at all. Take it down! :(

  23. Jeaymi says:

This isn’t Engrish. This is a line that’s only sold at Walgreen’s right now, and Walgreen’s is a store based only in the U.S. XD

    They probably made the sign when the Yes To Carrots body butter (a really thick, luxurious lotion) was free after rebate. I don’t see how it’s bad grammar or anything. o_O;;

    Seriously.

  24. skin needs moisture, too.
