They are called retard capsules because they contain DXM. If the threshhold for this is taken it becomes an extremely strong dissociative (similar to Ketamine, PCP, Nitrous etc) These capsules are/were sold in the Netherlands under the guise of cough medicine (same with most of the western world cough medicine) except i think the company that sells them here knows that the main customer is actually recreational trippers and have been cheeky enough to put it there, either that or the use of the term ‘Retard’ is a massive coincidence.

Oh come on. I know what they meant, I mean my friend that sent this to me from Holland told me that it mean “Time-Release”. Now instead of printing literal English translation, they should have printed “Time-Release” like the rest of the medications do.

Just like 1/2 the stuff on here, they printed a literal translation that would never get printed in this country. It is hilarious.

I’m Belgian, I’m a physician and I work in The Netherlands, so I’m well placed to comment on this.
“Retard” capsule is commonly used in Belgium as well as in The Netherlands to indicate that a capsule (or tablet) has a prolonged action. Of course it comes from the French, just like the English “retarded” does.
