Nope, the characters are right, the translation is bad.

Fruit == fruit
Leather == skin
Suitcase == box

It’s a “box” to discard fruit peels into. Still awesome; one of the best to come through here in a while.

playing with the same characters gets lots of fun stuff so i see how they can mess up so easily.

Example:
实实皮 = Paper is real
实箱果 = Real fruit boxes
箱果皮箱皮箱 = The garbage bin suitcase box
箱果箱皮 = Paper boxes fruit boxes
果箱皮 = Fruit leather box
箱果皮 = Peel me

实 = “it is”
so adding 实 should make it = 实果皮箱 = “It is the Garbage Bin”
Putting 实 2nd instead of first makes = 果实皮箱 = Fruit Suitcase
