It’s not necessarily a sign of editing, although it is often caused by re-editing JPEGs.

There’s contrast pixelation around all the letters and the heart…and the heart does not bend at all where there’s a crease in the awning fabric. The rose color has been blur-cleared down the awning and there’s more pixelation around the scallops at the edge where they had to end the blurring. I’d also say there was originally some sort of writing in the white rectangle just under the awning.
