From what I understand, the Korean text doesn’t mention tears but actually says something like “Especially exclude sanitary napkins from the toilet water.” But “lots of tears in my eyes” sells the overall message better.

The translation from Korean to English here is actually almost spot-on perfect. The Korean is just about as over-the-top as the English is.

How come no one ever thinks about the menstruating woman with a sanitary towel (?!) that needs to be disposed of? (apologies to grammar police for dangling preposition) Here in the West we have sanitary napkins, but in Korea they are still using huge bulky towels! Where’s a woman supposed to put a thing like that?
