    bow chica wow wow

    • Usoki says:

First on a not-Engrish. This is more of a fail than a translation error. And, as all of the Cinncinati people keep ranting about- it’s an actual food. Though, I’m from the Midwest, and I’ve never heard of it before.

  2. Willis says:

Engrish Fail. This is not Engrish. I’ll take the $6.00 Three Way, though.

    • Kit says:

Yeah I… I think I’ll be having fajitas. No, really, I’m fine… just the fajitas.

And what food is it talking about though? Fajitas, burrito and enchilada plate? I’m so confused!

    • Koki Kariya says:

This site has pretty much petered out. I mean this, the Gangsta Coloring Book, etc are not Engrish. These were used for amusement; they knew exactly what the “3-way” would imply, its for attention. I’m kinda thinking this board was a waste of time.

  3. SlainteRock says:

This would be funnier if I wasn’t from Cincinnati.

  4. bodriz says:

i’ll go to the Three way!

  5. Patra says:

True, would be funnier if it weren’t an actual menu item in the midwest.

  6. Biff says:

Can I eat Fajitas while having a three way?

  7. ryszard says:

“Where’s the head!?” Or the Engrish.

  8. What makes all this worse is the drawing at the bottom that looks like a flaming butt.

    *gah*

  9. Brittani says:

Where is this place? I want a three way for six dollars! ;D Though I want to see if they look good first… lol

  10. sa+an says:

    Engrish fail.

  11. Chelsea says:

    One of each please!

  12. Kristi says:

You know you’re from Cincy when your husband/boyfriend tells you that he wants a 3-way tonight and the only argument that ensures is whether you go to GSC or Skyline.
mmmm…. this is making me hungry! Only 2 months a 5 days until I go back to Cincy for a visit. I live in the Engrish capital of the world- Japan.

  13. Bob Noxious says:

It would be more funny if I knew what the hell the three way was supposed to be?!?!?!? Grammar or grammer error?

  14. Klaus says:

I from Germany, and this is funny. Very funny, this site is not funny most of the time but now that you have America joke, you CANT TAKE IT. What happened to laugh because its funny? I’m laughing hahahahahahaahahahahaha.

    • Laura says:

i don’t think it’s that we can’t take it… i laugh at myself/my country all the time… i think we just lack seeing the joke at all as the first thing that comes to mind when someone says 3-way in a food context, is the spaghetti/chili/cheese combo we know as a 3-way.

it’s a bit different than a sign that clearly has screwed up english beyond any sort of recognizable sentence or phrase such as the “Please advice us if you live before the breakfast.” sign

  15. Admiral Poopy Pants says:

    I’ll have what she’s having.

  16. uh huh her says:

I think all of us need to stop trying to highbrow one-up each other. Next thing you know someone will be saying “pish posh” and then I’ll have to kill them.

  17. Poohoo says:

Notice the accompanying illustration of a hairy crack.

  18. Islay says:

Engrish Fail. I’m about ready to stop checking here.

  19. SPCOsborne says:

Well, I am now going to AIM a friend of mine and ask her if she can make a 3-way. Let’s see what happens.

  20. Niho says:

Getting sick of common FAILS being turned into Engrish…wtf?

  21. Rhea Flanery says:

Uh….it’s called chili….from Cincinnati. It’s not ‘weird’ or ‘awkward’ in any way. Who the hell picks these???

    • tinascratch says:

Clearly the weird- and awkward-ness comes in due to the fact that it is not, in fact, called chili on the sign. And clearly LOTS of people have never associated the phrase “three way” with food. I certainly never did – never heard of the stuff described in the comments here. Not everyone is from, has been to or knows folks in Cincinnati.

  22. stablercake says:

    Isn’t that just a chili? . _.

    Engrish fail :c

  23. Phizzle says:

Everyone should give the lowest possible rating to the non-enrgrish pics. Maybe that would help…?

  24. Angel says:

Does anyone from Cincy know where this sign is from? I am curious if they know they made this website!

By the way it isn’t a midwest thing, it’s really only Cincinnati, Dayton and Newport Ky. Here is a link for what we are talking about.
    http://www.skylinechili.com/

  25. Ryan Waxx says:

Those who are inclined to complain that the recent entries are not engrish should do the following:
    1. Goto main page
    2. Click on “Vote”
    3. Vote down anything that is not actually Engrish.
If you haven’t, then don’t complain when your preferences that you haven’t bothered to express properly get ignored.

  26. random says:

Well said Ryan. And to those claiming a three-way is a ‘midwest’ food, I’ve lived all over these United States (except Ohio, Maine and Texas) and in Minnesota for the past 12. I’ve never heard of three-way in a food reference.

  27. katy! says:

For my taste, plain old whacko use of English by english speakers is appropriate here.

This “Special of the Day” gave me a very good laugh. And the comments describing the food have given me a strange urge to make something like that.

  28. JJ says:

if I want a two way, does that mea I only have to pay $4.00 ?

  29. unfortunate cincy resident says:

A three-way is a primarily Cincinnati food. It consists of spagetti (1), chili (2), and cheese(3). Adding beans or onions makes it a four-way and adding both, a five-way. No, it is not a midwestern food and the ‘chili’ really isn’t chili. It rarely sounds appealing to people who aren’t from around here, but if you grew up here, it’s a friggin’ staple of your diet. And you can get a three-way AND a drink for less than $6. So this is neither Engrish nor fail.

  30. Traveling Minstrel says:

As I have traveled far and wide, I have actually encountered 3-ways outside of the greater Cincinnati area(inclusive of Lexington, Dayton and Columbus). I, in fact, once ate at a Skyline in St. Petersburg, Fl along the beach. And as I am a traveling minstrel, it was quite nice to enjoy a taste of home. While it may sound odd, it is actually quite good, though I don’t recommend attempting to make it with Texas-style chili, as that would not be a good thing.

  31. Comosaywhat says:

It may not be an “Engrish” case but…and this is very important…does the $6 Three Way come with a beverage of some kind?

  32. kopaka says:

    uuuuuummm……..what can i say?

  33. Justin says:

    I’ll have what SHE’S having.

  34. haywood jablowme says:

i wonder why they never specified who would be in the three way…

  35. bootothat says:

I don’t know what these people are yammering about, my dad always made us chili spaghetti, it was usually for lunch and not dinner..but it was just a can of chili thrown on some spaghetti with cheddar cheese…I didn’t know any different, my friends thought it was gross but it was delicious…and I’m from California.
We also made New England Chop Suey which was elbow macaroni, ground beef, onions and canned tomatoes. Best stuff, ever.

  36. DAILY says:

I’ll take the three way. only FFM of course…

  37. attorney says:

    that’s not what they meant!

  38. Grammarian says:

    I shall take the fajitas.
