  6. Sesoron says:

I think the translation makes it a little too polite… but otherwise, it’s totally correct.

  7. Mr Tenth says:

I wanna get raped at the beach?
    Poor guy, looks very scared.

  8. catgirl says:

So what does it actually say? Usually I can figure out what they’re trying to say, but not this time. What does this have to do with the beach at all? Translation, please.

  9. Jink says:

Yeah, It’s a bit less direct in english, but the meaning is the same.

You have the same with “do it at home” with girls doing make-up in the train, and I think there is also a “do it in your bed” with a guy sleeping in the train.

  10. Jink says:

the meaning is “if you wanna rush, jump and dive, do it at the beach, not in the train”

  11. Mike D says:

While this is funny, I fail to see the “Engrish”. It’s a decent translation and the humor is quite intentional.

    • Moon says:

Because calling the website “Signs from Abroad that would Strike Speakers of American English as Amusing” would be too long.

      • someone says:

This sign and it’s text is funny itself (in any language). Sometimes I get the feeling that quite a few people use “EngrishFunny” as a compensation for their own lack of being able to speak a foreign language…

        • EnaBean says:

I like EngrishFunny, and je suis fluent in franglais. Je crois que people are more inclined to find language blunders amusing when they comprendre how it happened. At least that’s how I am.

  14. Machiavelli says:

Even if the translation is accurate, the image itself is open to interpretation, especially concerning the activities of the guy with glasses.
