  1. Stephen says:

You realise that this is correct don’t you?

    • Niho says:

Truth… Dong Da is a district in Hanoi, Vietnam… which brings me to the question of why there’s Beijing at the end??? O.o

      • qz says:

stop trying to sound smart I’m mean it’s not like there’s 2 springfields in the U.S.

        • Niho says:

Go ahead.. try to find a Dong Da in China. Its a Vietnamese city with a Vietnamese name, nothing near a Chinese name.

          • Raggy says:

Consider the possibility that Dong Da is the name of the guy who founded the hospital or something.

          • Wesley says:

‘Dong Da’ as seen in the picture is not referring to any region. It’ already obvious the that region reference is already made with ‘Beijing’. ‘Dong Da’ here is simply the transliteration of the two Chinese glyphs meaning ‘east’ and ‘big’, respectively. It would indeed be just the name of the hospital (Dong Da hospital in Beijing, so to speak).

            • Sesoron says:

Everybody always calls them “symbols” or “glyphs” or something weird like that. Why does nobody use a more accurate term, like “characters”, or maybe “logographs”? Even “letters” would make more sense…

            • ThyGoblinking says:

              *Chew* nomnomnomnomnom

      • Luddite says:

It can’t be in Vietnam as they don’t use Chinese characters

  2. What? says:

So uh, it’s a hospital for intestinal and anal disorders, and it’s translated as a hospital for intestinal and anal disorders? Just ’cause it’s got the word “anus” in there doesn’t make it silly. What are we, 5?

  3. KoS says:

That guy looks WAY too happy to be advertising a hospital that does that. And the “thumbs up” also seems inappropriate…

  4. Rhinox says:

No engrish or funny to be found.

  5. Sylvia says:

Next week: colon cancer! Hilarity all around…

  6. Scary Rob says:

Maybe the submitter thought that the “Da” was meant to be a “the”?

  7. ringo says:

At the very least, he’s holding up the wrong finger.

  8. random comment says:

My imaginary friend says I should refrain commenting about that finger and where he may have been sticking it…

  9. dalz says:

Actually the funny part of the photo is the guy.

  10. pavlov says:

Da hospital fo da booty, biatch!

    • Something evil says:

Why do I have the nagging feeling that the hospital’s name is, in fact, “Dong Da” and there’s not one spelling error in the sign?
However, that guy is either waaaay too happy. Either the sedatives from his operation are still in effect, or the pic was taken durring the operation/investigation itself. That would expain the strained expression on the guy’s face.

    • wundawomun says:

      ROFL

  11. dropofkim says:

His thumb is mighty long and he is making angry eyes…
    He confuses and scares me…

  12. FeetBurger says:

this one isn’t really that bad, Dong Da Hospital For Anus and Intestine Disease, DOng Da being the name of the hospital. If there is any spelling error at all it’s just saying Anus instead of Anal

    • sbd says:

Yes, although to be completely correct it would have to read “Anal and Intestinal Diseases” otherwise it would be a hospital for one particular anus and intestine – and for only one disorder of those. It could be correct though; maybe it’s a really small office that just treats the guy on the sign. Of course, if he’s as enthusiastic as he appears, they’ll need to find a new anus and intestine to treat soon.

  13. Now@Home says:

Why do I get the feeling that the guy with the thumbs up is for a completely different ad?

  14. chole says:

I dont know how this is a fail.. i mean there are hospitals for intestines and stuff.. >___>

  15. Guess Again says:

okay, so something evil pointed out the guy with the thumbs up, he DOES seem a LITTLE TOO HAPPY, but no one has pointed out the weird guy in a panda suit chuckling and poining at the name in the upper-left hand corner. I mean seriously, did he realize that people would be laughing at the name? haha…that’s really weird…

  16. license_to_chill says:

yeah okay, it says anus. not that funny. although, the thing that is disturbing is that the word ‘anus’ and a picture of a smiling guy sticking his thumb up appear in the same ad. kinda creepy…

  17. Divided by zero says:

Damn, that guy sure likes getting checked for anus and intestine disease.^_^

  18. and_so_on says:

Um, as a person who has suffered from Crohn’s Disease and lost a colon and rectum to illness, this isn’t funny. They just call it Digestive Disease centers here in the US. Anus- it happens. Grow up.

    • sbd says:

And I lost my mother to colon cancer last year. Deal with it. It’s still funny that it’s not proper English and that they have a picture of an insane gringo with his thumb hiked up as hard as it will go.

  19. Karmillina says:

gotta love the dude with the “I had hemorrhoids” smile.

  20. RickJames says:

    Byahhhhhhhhhhhh!

  21. Doctor dunNothing says:

Just where the hell is he wanting to stick his thumb is what I want to know. It’s certainyl making him really happy thinking about it!

  22. PikachuBracelet says:

That man’s expression is the funniest thing.

  23. Sticky Note says:

That guy at the bottom is probably having an operation done right now.
